Be Careful:  If you come here you will grow!

A Note From Fr. Michael
Dear Folks:

31 January 2019

As we come to a new month, the date of 2 February stands out a bit from the ordinary.  The day, the date causes me to consider the stark difference between a Christian expectation and perception of life and that of a secular life’s perception.  This is to say, February 2nd reflects two understandings of life: One with God at the center and one based on ourselves.

If you look at the calendar (you’ll need a church calendar as well as a secular one), you will notice that the secular culture marks this day as “Groundhog Day,” while careful Christians also recognize the day as “the Presentation of our Lord.”  If you want to know the difference life on God’s terms makes compared to life based on ourselves, February 2nd is your discerning lens. Read More
