Be Careful:  If you come here you will grow!

A Note From Fr. Michael
10 January 2019
Dear Folks:

MOVING ON: That is one of the experiences we have when we keep time with God.  There is very little room for lingering, for looking back because in the God-life there is always more!  While this is, in fact, a source of great hope for us, it can also be a challenge to keep one’s focus of what’s next.  For example, the difficulty in taking down the Christmas decorations can be a hard next step.

Sunday was the Day of the Epiphany.  January 6th always completes the 12 days of Christmas, the keeping of which is a prime example of Read More

For Your Generous Support
While an announcement was made at service on December 30, we want to thank our members for their overwhelming support.  56 ornaments were placed on the tree at the entrance of the church, for pajamas and socks, and all were taken.  On Sunday December 16, a small miracle occurred.  Our Sunday School and Nursery children delivered 60 pairs of PJ’s and socks to the Easthampton Community Center.  Robin Bielecki was overwhelmed by our donation.

Easthampton Community Center – 2019 Focus

During the week, the community center distributes bags of food to those who qualify for food assistance.  Once a month during the winter, they also provide a children’s bag, to supplement their nutritional needs. During the summer, when school is not in session, they provide a children’s bag weekly.  To better support the Center in their efforts to reduce food insecurity, in our local region, we request that our parishioners consider donating the following items during the coming months.
Pasta and Pasta Sauce
Beef Stew
Tuna Fish
Adult & Children’s Cereal, including individual instant oatmeal packs
Pop Tarts
Peanut Butter
Granola/Fruit Bars
8 oz bags of rice
Canned fruits and vegetables

In addition, the Center is always in need of size 4, 5 & 6 baby diapers.  Last year we donated over 2500 diapers and wipes.  This is a need that continues throughout the year.

Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.

Saturday, March 2 @ The Log Cabin, Holyoke.  8:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Come for some new perspectives on approaching stewardship with Chick Lane and Grace Pomroy! They provide a diverse approach to their shared conviction—stewardship belongs at the heart of each individual and each congregation. The day will include presentations by Lane and Pomroy, lunch, time for parishes to brainstorm with their team, and of course, some time with our Bishop. Contact Laura in the office to register.
