You are invited to a special meeting of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross.  On Saturday, November 17, Alinda Stanley, our former Companion-in-Charge, will give a talk entitled “Choosing a Life of Gratitude and Thanksgiving.” The event is right here at St Philip’s, starting with refreshments at 9:30 AM and concluding with a noon Eucharist in the Church. We are a vowed Episcopal women’s society dedicated to social justice and peacemaking, intercessory prayer, and simplicity of life. Questions? Karen Banta, SCHC, or Barbara Weeks.  Learn more at
This Saturday, Nov. 17 is the next date!  You can now volunteer via “Signup Genius”,
an online signup application.  You can signup for November’s shifts here:  We’ve also added
an additional slot for baking and another delivery, so we can try our hand at part of the process.  For baking and delivery you need to contact the coordinators directly by email.  Please connect with Jon Cartledge for their contact information.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Harvest Dinner on Nov. 3rd.  It was a wonderful time to share good food and fellowship.  Thank you for sharing your delicious dishes with all of us.  We are blessed with wonderful cooks in our congregation.  Thank you also for bringing friends and family members to join us in this special time together.  And thank you to everyone who helped organize this event, including Elizabeth McAnulty, Bev Bullock, Clare Boyd-Bullock, Joan and David Haines, Mary and Joe Bianca, Robert Carey, Stephen Bailey, Susan May, and Henry Reeves.  It would not have been possible without all of you.  Hopefully this can become an annual event.

Easthampton Community Center –  THANKSGIVING PROGRAM
We are collecting food donations to support the center’s efforts to help those in need have a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.  Any of the following items will help the Community Center in their efforts,
  • Stuffing
  • Potatoes
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Cake mixes
  • Bread mixes
  • Gravy
  • Flour
  • Sugar
The Community Center will also be providing turkeys for Thanksgiving to those in need.  Donations in support of these can be made directly to the Center.  Over the last few years the Center has provided 700 – 800 turkeys for Thanksgiving alone.  On November 18th, our Sunday School children will again be bringing the Thanksgiving donations to the Community Center as part of their ministry. This year, we will also continue with our Giving Tree for Christmas.  We will provide more information regarding this in the next couple of weeks.
Supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse thru Safe Passage is one of our outreach ministries and thank you for your support. Collections thru November 25. Checks are made out to St. Philip’s and in the Memo write “Safe Passage”. The team name is: Maureen Lee/St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.  Speak to Maureen for more information.
